The camp

A surf house,
not a surf hotel

Salterra started in 2019 with one rented villa, four foam boards and a stubborn belief: surf trips are better when you live together, eat together and paddle out together.

How it works

Every camp runs for fourteen days with a maximum of eighteen guests. Mornings belong to the ocean — two coached sessions before lunch, split by level so nobody waits and nobody is thrown in too deep.

Afternoons are yours: island trips three times a week, a pool that fixes everything else, and dinners that regularly run past midnight. Coaches surf with you, eat with you and remember your name — and your pop-up mistakes.

What we believe

  • Small groups — never more than six guests per coach.
  • Local knowledge — every coach grew up surfing these breaks.
  • Progress you can feel — video review twice a week, goals every Sunday.
  • Leave the beach cleaner — weekly clean-ups, reef-safe sunscreen only.

Made — Head surf coach

Twelve years coaching between Canggu and Uluwatu, ISA certified, famous for fixing pop-ups in a single session. Surfs a 6'8 when the swell turns on.

Ayu — Camp host

Runs the villa like a second home: airport pickups, island trips, dinner bookings and the famous Sunday pancake morning. Knows every warung worth knowing.

Kadek — Assistant coach

Grew up bodyboarding the Canggu beach breaks. Patient with first-timers, relentless with improvers, first in the water every morning checking the banks.

Luca — Photographer

Shoots every session from the beach and the water. You go home with a gallery of two hundred photos — including the ones where you actually look good.
